Forst Kienberg’s apartments are surrounded by breathtaking nature right in the heart of the Mostviertel region between the Danube river and the Ötscher mountain forming part of the Ybbstal Alps in beautiful Lower Austria.

The region has much to offer – in the summer it is ideal for mountain biking, cycling and hiking and for swimming in the crystal clear lakes. Day trips to Lunz am See offer paddleboarding, boating and swimming as well as the ‘Haus der Wildnis’ attraction and the Wellenklänge summer festival. The nearby town of Gaming hosts the popular annual Chopin Festival and offers tours of the 14th century Charterhouse Gaming, as well as beer tasting tours at local craft brewery ‘Kartausenkeller’.

In the winter months the nearby resorts of Lackenhof am Ötscher, Hochkar, Annaberg, Mariazeller Bürgeralpe and Gemeindealpe offer plenty of opportunity for skiing, cross country skiing and other winter pursuits. The local traditional Advent Christmas markets are also well worth a visit. There is something for everyone – from those wishing to simply relax to the more adventurous!
